lite is a light edition for Registry Shower
2009 and it performs only the quick scan
mode.

How can I have a copy of all the backup
files created by Registry Shower? |
|

The backup files are generated automatically
once the user performs the repair operation.
The user can have copy of those backups files by proceeding the following
procedures:
1. Push the "Restore" button in the main window.
2. Open the "File" menu in the "Restore Registry Backup(s)"
window.
3. Press on the "Open Backup(s) Folder" menu item.
4. When the Windows Explorer open the Backup Folder, you can copy all the
files and save it
in a safe place.

I couldn't find the backup that was created
when I had logged-in with another
user name on the same PC, Why? |

Yes, that's absolutely right.
Simply each login has his own registry information is stored in the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER"
root name in the system's registry.
If the user restored a backup that was created on different login, it will
cause a crash to the System's Registry.
So, as a kind of protection, each login has his own registry backups.

With Registry Shower you can create an ignore
list with Subkeys, Value Name and Value Data.
So you can simple use this built in tool to add the sections you want to
exclude during the registry scan process.

but, I noticed that it is faster on one than the other
although both of them have the same hardware specifications,
how come? |

Unlike the other
competitor applications, Registry Shower scan all the keys
of the system registry and never skip any section, key or
subkey.
So the scan time may differ due to the amount of
applications installed on the PC, and of course it will be
differ between a machine and another.

I get an
error code 5 when I was trying to install Registry Shower, and I get three choices: Abort, Retry or Ignore, Why,
and how can I fix it? |

This error is
occurring when your are trying to install Registry Shower
while a
previous version or build of the same product is still
running whether on the desktop or in the system tray.
So, all what you need to do; is to close the application then
push the "Retry" button to resume the installation
procedures. |

the recent build but I'm afraid to lose the registry backups
or my ignore list created with the previous build. |

This issue was expected and healed by our
development team.
Neither the registry backups nor the ignore list are wiped with the
uninstalling process.
